Abstain from fast foods, because it is full of salts. Use alternate hot and cold vinegar wraps to soothe strains, sprains, and even foot aches. Firstly, heat same amounts of water and vinegar. Wrap the ankle or foot with a towel soaked in the mixture for a few minutes. Then mix cold water and vinegar and repeat the procedure. This needs to be done three times.Dandelion is a very effective medicine to remove water retention. Apart from removing excess fluid from the cells, it nourishes the kidneys and liver. It even increases the digestibility of food, and eases menopausal change. Common foods which can also help in easing water retention problems are asparagus, cucumber, corn, grapes, and watermelon.
