Though a sprained ankle is regarded as one of the most common health disorders but there are no specific treatments for ankle sprains. Rest: Rest is thought as the most effective treatment for a twisted ankle. Compression: Compression means compressing the ankles while the rehabilitation process goes on. Using wraps can hasten the process. But, make it sure that the wrap you are using is not too tight.

Elevation: Elevation is the final stage of home based Sprained Ankle Treatment methods. Elevation refers to placing the sprained ankle in a higher position than the heart so that the excessive blood flow can be prevented. So, when you keep sitting, you are suggested to use special chairs that you can keep you leg up or use a pillow while sleeping so that your leg remains upfront than your heart.

Finally, it is evident that if you follow the RICE procedure step by step, you are likely to get your sprained ankle pain and injury recovered within weeks. So, it can be regarded as the standard Sprained Ankle Treatment method.
